SUMMER STAGE WOOSTER
The summer of 2013 was certainly a creative endeavor and a labor of love for Summer Stage Wooster. Director Todd Patterson, with the help of teachers Brett and Kristi Hiner, wrote an original musical review titled Life: A Musical Journey. Using show tunes and classic standards that were woven between vignettes and acted scenes, it showcased the joys and frustrations found in the journey from childhood, to early adulthood, to raising kids, to middle age, and finally the twilight years. This production with a cast of 35 was held two weekends at the Wayne Center for the Arts auditorium. It filled this small, intimate space with an appreciative crowd that lingered long each standing ovation to visit and reminisce themselves about life and how the production touched them personally.
